How have you experienced this in your life?

While happiness is based on what is happening around you, joy is based on our relationship with Jesus.  How would you describe joy in your own words?

Can you remember a time when you truly felt the joy of the Lord?

 In all our troubles my joy knows no bounds. – 2 Corinthians 7:4

 In the verse above Paul talks about having joy even while having trouble. Can you share a time when you had joy in a time of trouble?

I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. – Philippians 4:12

 In what situations do you find it hard to be content? Do things regularly happen in your life that steal your happiness?
